Iran and Egypt have failed in their attempt to persuade FIFA to prevent their Group G World Cup clash from being associated with LGBTQ+ promotion. The match in Seattle, scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 a.m., is expected to be part of accompanying activities supporting sexual and gender minorities.

Iran had previously warned that its players could walk off the pitch if such initiatives took place. Despite these objections, FIFA has decided to allow fans to bring rainbow flags into the stadium.
