After a 28-year-old gay man made a marriage proposal to his also gay partner during last week’s FC Köln vs. Wolfsburg match at the stadium on the “Diversity Match Day,” the 28-year-old was attacked yesterday by several masked individuals in his home . He was beaten, kicked, and punched.
The victim stated that even before the match, he had received multiple threats, including messages containing his home address, warning him to cancel the marriage proposal in the stadium.
A connection to the marriage proposal in the stadium is suspected.
