Před zápasem došlo k několika střetům mezi oběma tábory ultras, ale vždy stihla policie zasáhnout. Dokonce i autobus s hráči Juventusu byl zaházen lahvemi od piva, a dokonce i jedna jeho skleněná výplň byla rozbita. Později se Carabineri potýkali s davem 80 ultras Juventusu, kteří byli vyzbrojeni obušky, petardami a světlicemi. Derby skončilo 0:2 pro Juventus.
