Large protest in Leipzig because German politicians want to make life harder for German soccer fans with new measures. STATEMENT: Your statistics and our observations show: Football is safe! Enough with populism – yes to fan culture!

The Conference of Interior Ministers (IMK) is scheduled for early December. As described in our statement, law-and-order politicians are attempting to push through measures under the guise of stadium security that threaten the very existence of German fan culture!

Football fans from all over Europe look with envy and enthusiasm at the vibrant, loud, and electrifying atmosphere in German stadiums – from the Bundesliga down to the lower leagues of amateur football. Instead of respecting and promoting this unique characteristic, politicians and associations are trying everything to drive nails into the coffin of our unique fan culture with various measures.

But we are not prepared to let these security fanatics take away our passion and our stadium experience! Last weekend, we already expressed our displeasure with a joint banner action in the stadiums and the accompanying statement. Now it’s crucial to stay focused and take the protest against these absurd measures to the streets!

We therefore call on all football fans to join us in Leipzig on Sunday (November 16th) and make their voices heard in support of German fan culture. The demonstration will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Goethestraße. Please refrain from wearing group or scene-specific merchandise and instead wear your club’s colors and clothing. Let’s make it clear to all politicians and associations that we, as football fans, stand together across rivalries to protect the highest good of German football!

Important information regarding the demonstration:

Please treat the host city of Leipzig and all fans present with respect! We are fighting side by side for our cause!

Please refrain from using pyrotechnics and items that conceal your identity!
